職位概述

財務暨獎學金經理將成為支持肯亞辦事處財務職能的財務部門成員,包括: 財務職責,並確保組織保持健全和透明。

工作內容

  1. 監督和管理每日全國範圍的會計和財務,包括及時記錄交易、現金管理、銀行、工資單、法定、庫存、應收賬款和應付賬款。
  2. 根據組織的財務手冊和捐贈者法規規劃和實施金融業務系統,包括現金流量管理、預算、會計信息合併、內部控制、財務報告、財務記錄保存、撥款管理和合規等系統。
  3. 根據需要進行審核,以確保符合組織和捐贈者的要求。
  4. 有效地了解捐助者的政策、程序、規則和條例。編譯和更新適用的本地政策,並在這些政策中培訓APP的計劃和合作夥伴員工。
  5. 為起草和審查新提案製定的預算和財務敘述提供持續技術支持。在預算編制過程中起到適當的作用,包括組織總部的審查和預算反饋。
  6. 確保妥善維護當地辦事處的政策和程序,並為與當地財務事項有關的所有問題提供培訓。

申請人資格要求

  1. 金融,會計或同等學歷的學士學位。
  2. 必須是註冊會計師(CPA)專業人士或 ACCA。
  3. 非政府組織中擔任會計師或財務經理至少三年工作經驗。
  4. 擁有高級英語口說和寫作能力,能夠清晰地展示資訊和論點。良好的人際交往能力,以及具備適用於辦公室或非政府組織(現場)環境的IT技能。
  5. 非常需要有多個捐助者資助項目的經驗。
  6. 與政府官員打交道的經驗,以及協商能力。認同組織最高目標。
  7. 出色的人際交往能力(例如:溝通、自我意識、建立信任、質疑和傾聽、影響、自信、解決問題、決策)
  8. 良好的數字能力和文化能力

The African Prisons Project (APP) is a community of people passionately committed to bringing dignity, hope and justice to men, women and children in African prisons ensuring equitable access to justice, health and education. Our strategy focuses on developing changemakers amongst prison staff and inmates who use the law to bring justice to the most vulnerable in society; to begin assembling world-class law teachers, law makers and practitioners to aid the training and development of our people; and to plan our expansion as we look to establish ourselves as a social enterprise, offering legal education and legal services in Africa and beyond.

Job Overview

As a Finance and Grants Manager, you will be a member of the Finance department supporting the financial functions for Kenya Office including; Financial duties, and ensuring that the organisation maintains a robust and transparent status.

Major Roles

  1. Oversee and manage daily country-wide accounting and finance functions including the timely recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, statutory, inventory, receivables, and payables.
  2. Plan and implement systems for financial operations in accordance with the APP’s FinanceManual and donor regulations, including systems for cash flow management, budgeting, consolidation of accounting information, internal controls, financial reporting, financial record- keeping, grants management and compliance.
  3. Perform reviews as required to ensure compliance with APP and donor requirements.
  4. Effectively stay abreast of donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations; compile and updateapplicable local policies; and train APP’s program and partner staff in these policies.
  5. Provide on-going technical support for drafting and reviewing budgets and financial narratives for new proposal development. Take the lead as appropriate in the budget development process including facilitation of review and feedback of budget by APP HQ.
  6. Ensure proper maintenance of local office policies and procedures and provide training for all issues related to local financial matters.

Education and experience

  1. The applicants for the Finance and Grants Manager job should hold Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or its equivalent.
  2. Must be a Certified Public Accountants (CPA) professional, or ACCA.
  3. At least three years as an accountant or finance manager in a busy Non-Governmental Organisation.
  4. Advanced oral and writing skills, and an ability to present information and arguments clearly; excellent interpersonal skills; IT skills appropriate to an office or NGO (field) environment.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g.; communication, self-awareness, building trust, questioning & listening, influencing, assertiveness, problem solving, decision making)
  6. Experience with multiple donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
  7. Experience in dealing with government officials and an ability to work consultatively within democratic structures; sympathy with the aims, objectives and academic values at the highest levels having a commitment to the highest possible standards. Skills and Competences Skills and abilities required for effective performance.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g.; communication, self-awareness, building trust, questioning & listening, influencing, assertiveness, problem solving, decision making)
  9. Good Numerical ability & Literate
  10. Excellent organizational skills
  11. Attention to detail
  12. Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks Online and excel
