摘要：Wow Africa is an Africa information platform in Taiwan with the goal to promote the understanding of Africa through economic and cultural exchanges. It is also a platform to provide information about Africa to the general public in Taiwan. It bridges the gap between Taiwan and Africa and according to Pepe He Pei-Jia, co-founder and Editor-in-chief of Wow Africa, the media in Taiwan focuses on negative coverage of Africa and her NGO is to break the stereotype of negative perceptions about Africa.

She said, for example, Rwanda, which has been perceived as underdeveloped, has been plastic free since 2008. The African country completely banned the use of plastic bags while other countries started imposing taxes on plastic bags.

非洲的農業勞動人口中，女性所佔比例高達60-80％。雖然女性在農業產出中具有相當貢獻，但在工作上卻受到許多不平等的待遇。比如說傳統觀念的束縛使她們無法獲得合理的待遇、無法擁有土地權，再者，未接受過教育及不識字的條件使她們不會行銷自己生產的農作物，或是難以透過信貸更新農具，諸多不利條件使得女性農民的職場環境相當嚴苛。但近期有許多研究報告指出，若是能讓女性農民接受專業的教育和合理的待遇，不僅可以增加農業產出，甚至可以成為解決飢荒問題的關鍵之一。因此，非洲各國近期也開始重視女性農民工作的權益。
